About
FUSION
FUSION is a community club in which all young people are welcomed,
with the onus on building new friendships and developing both personally
and socially through the various activities and programmes we run.
FUSION currently offers 4 sections; Juniors, Inters, Teens &
Seniors.
Meeting
every week at the back of RBRS in the 'Den' (twice a term at HPS).
(For further information, see the Programme)
History
FUSION was started in September 2002, with only two sections; the
Juniors and Inters. Since then it has moved forward in leaps and
bounds! The 'Den' has been decorated to include its signature colours
Purple and Turquoise! New and up-to-date equipment has been installed
including a 'cosy room' complete with TV, couch, bean-bags and play-station.
Community Support
The club is supported by both communities from Radlett and Bushey
Reform Synagogue and Hertsmere Progressive Synagogue. As well as
financially supporting FUSION they both encourage members of the
community to be on the Youth Committee and take part in security
rotas.
Staff
FUSION's
only paid employee is the Youth Director, Amanda Myers. Amanda is
a qualified Youth Worker with over ten years experience. The club
and Amanda are strongly supported by a team of 8 volunteer leaders
ranging from 14 - 24 years old. The leaders take part in an on-going
training programme and have or are currently taking part in a First-Aid
course.
